Davis County Double-Up 50k Course Challenge
Rules for The Professor’s Trail and Ultra Running Courses
- Go to the Facebook page to get info, ask questions, plan with others, find crews or pacers
- Run the Course
- Provide us with a link to a public website where you have uploaded your gps data with the full map, split times, etc…(strava, mapmyrun, movescount, etc…) so we can verify you did it, record and include it in your page in the hall of fame.
- Write us a race report to link to in the hall of fame and send us any selfies taken at the locations designated in the course directions.
- Use the Contact Form to send me the info to post in the leader boards, etc.

Appx. elevation gain: 10,274 ft
General Directions
- Start at Fernwood Parking lot
- Go up the Great Western (old beginning of the Wasatch 100 Course)
- Fill up water at about mile 5 (Cold spring) and mile 6.5 (Landis Spring)
- Continue on Great Western until about mile 9.5 and at GPS coordinate (41.044519, -111.841196) descend down Baer Canyon
- At Bonneville Shoreline Trail, go south, cross Shepherd Creek at mile 15.5
- On the south side of Shepherd Creek, go on the trial UPSTREAM to the Farmington Upper Terrace Trail at GPS coordinate 41.013614, -111.888929 and continue south
- Follow trail to Farmington Canyon and descend to Farmington Pond parking lot at GPS coordinate 40.995738, -111.885658. Maybe stash some food and water here.
- Go up Farmington Canyon Road and follow BST connector (40.996468, -111.884348) to BST firebreak road
- Go a couple hundred feet and look left for the Farmington Spine trail at GPS coordinate 40.992387, -111.878583
- Follow it up up and up until reaching a dirt road (FR 806)at about mile 21 at GPS coordinate 40.983765, -111.836029.
- Follow FR 806 Southeast for 1/10th of a mile to the intersection with Skyline Drive (FR 008). STAY RIGHT and continue up the switchbacks.
- You will pass Bountiful Peak on your left (feel free to tag it for good luck)
- Continue down Skyline Drive until about mile 25.5 where at GPS coordinate 40.936802, -111.806426 you will descend down the Parrish Trail.
