Work brought me to Santa Barbara and I took advantage of the warmer weather to get out for an early morning run. I headed up Mission Canyon to Inspiration Point. The town was socked in with low clouds and fog, so it was gorgeous to get above it. Short and sweet. Back to my hotel and showered before 9 AM.
I had bigger plans to do a big loop in the Santa Ynez Mountains, clockwise hitting Arlington and Cathedral and La Cumbre Peaks, then the Camino Cielo road to Angostura Pass, and then the Tunnel Trail back to Mission Canyon. Once I hit the trail I realized I wasn’t feeling it. My left heel is still feeling bruised and I didn’t want to push it.
